After two and a half decades, Nintendo’s Mario is still going strong. To commemorate the occasion, Nintendo has released Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition package which contains four classic Mario games, a soundtrack CD and an illustrated booklet. All the Mario games are playable on the Wii. This is a first come, first serve offer while supplies last.
“Whether you’ve been a Mario fan for 25 years or are just now discovering his games, this limited-edition collection is packed with hours of fun,” said Marc Franklin, Nintendo of America’s director of Public Relations. “These classic games, along with the soundtrack CD and Super Mario History booklet filled with rare concept art, make this a must-have collection for every video game fan.”
Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3 are all included in the newly-released Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition pack. Graphics have been enhanced and the sound improved from Super NES Super Mario All-Stars game. When playing this new version on the Wii, you can use any of the previously released controllers: the Wii Remote controller, Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro or the Nintendo GameCube controller.
As an added bonus to the new release, it also includes a Super Mario History soundtrack CD with memorable music and the sound effects your love from the Mario games. Tracks from the original Super Mario Bros. up to the recent Super Mario Galaxy 3 game are included. The previously unreleased “Super Mario Bros. Ground Theme” is tacked onto the CD, which is often named one of the most famous pieces of video game music in history.
Lastly, the booklet contains a 32-page look at Mario History including interviews, photos, rare concept art and design sketches.
