Tecmo today shipped a new action-adventure game for the Wii, SPRay. Rather than most kid-friendly games, which see the main character saving a princess or royal figure, this one has players portraying a prince who must actually save the village from an evil Queen.
Playing as the eccentric Prince Ray, gamers must save their village from a banished evil Queen who’s returned to enslave the villagers. After donning a magic crown that summons two liquid-spraying spirits, he sets out to defeat the evil Queen and her army of anti-matter soldiers.
Players will use the “angelics” and “wicked” spirits to spray water, oil, goo and other liquids on enemies and surfaces to help them solve puzzles and wipe out evil. Players will also perform gravity-defying moves as they spray, stick and slide their way through challenging puzzles spread across five different missions in six unique levels.
In addition to this story mode, SPRay also features several mini-games in its multiplayer mode, where up to four players can challenge themselves in games using the various liquids. The names of the games are “Slip Speeders,” “Slime Climbers,” “Vomit It!” and “Abyss Arena.”
