In this economy, consumers are looking for value. Gamers are especially keen to this, which is why today’s news of a $39.99 Xbox 360 bundle that includes BioShock and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is so exciting. 2K Games and Bethesda Softworks are also creating a PC bundle, which will retail for the meager price of $29.99.
This combo-pack is probably the best bundle to hit the gaming world since the NES shipped with Super Mario Bros. It combines the 2006 Game of the Year (Oblivion) with the 2007 Game of the Year (BioShock) into a single package. The bundle will ship to retail across North America on July 7.
Oblivion remains DailyGame’s editor’s favorite game of all time, with more than 132 hours dropped into the RPG before even reaching the plot’s halfway point. BioShock, meanwhile, is a close runner up, an RPG/shooter in which players genetically enhance their character as he makes his way through an intense, decaying underwater Art Deco utopia gone mad.
