EA, Valve to Release Black Box and Orange Box

February 7, 2007 by Sara

Uber-independent developer and publisher Valve is teaming with uber-corporate developer and publisher Electronic Arts to distribute The Black Box and The Orange Box. But don’t get confused or worried; those labels are just two different names for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 packages for Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2 and Portal.
The Black Box, which will ship for PC, will include Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress 2. The Orange Box, which will ship for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, includes all the content of The Black Box plus the original Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One.
The Black Box and The Orange Box are both scheduled to release this fall.
