DC Universe Online has gone gold and has an official release date for PS3 and PC: January 11, 2011. This will be the first time DC Universe Online will be accessible on PS3. DC Universe Online will cost $59.99 for PS3 and $49.99 for PC, and the purchase of the game includes a 30-day membership.
Monthly subscriptions for DC Universe Online will cost $14.99 thereafter. The PC version will be included in the SOE’s all-in-one Station Access subscription.
Sony expects to update the game regularly with new episodes containing iconic DC Comics characters, new instances and major in-game events.
DC Universe Online brings the DC Universe to life allowing gamers to fashion their own superheroes or villains and join forces with their favorite DC Comics characters. These include Superman, Batman and The Joker who can then help the player to save or destroy the universe.
