If you want to play The Sims 3 on your PS3 or Xbox 360, you’re in for a long wait. However, if you’re interested in playing The Sims 3 on your PC, Mac, iPhone, iPod Touch or mobile device, your wait is only a few more months, as Electronic Arts has announced the game will ship for those platforms on June 2.
In The Sims 3, players can use new Traits and Lifetime Wish features to create Sims that have real personalities and destinies. Players can then take their Sim into town to interact with other Sims in the game and capture the action on video, which they can in turn show off to their friends online.
Players will be able to customize their Sims’ appearances and choose up to five traits to create individual personalities. From the “Romantic” trait to “kleptomaniac” to “evil,” players can create millions of unique Sims from the vast number of personalities. New goal-oriented game play enables players to choose which short or long-term objectives they want their Sims to pursue, and even determine their Sims’ destinies.
