Left 4 Dead Anti-Cheat Patch Released for Xbox 360

December 10, 2008 by Sara Leave a Comment

That little Left 4 Dead cheat that’s been running around Xbox Live lately has just been patched, Valve announced today. The free auto update is available now via Xbox Live when you start the game.

The Left 4 Dead “Anti-Cheat Patch” is a server-side fix that denies the recently reported cheats on all dedicated Left 4 Dead Xbox 360 servers. The fix is designed to halt the cheating behavior on the dedicated servers, which accounts for the majority of the co-op and Versus modes of play.

Valve says that an update for people playing on user-hosted servers and/or via system link will be released in the coming days.
