Let’s call it the week of free multiplayer map downloads, shall we? First it was two free Gears of War multiplayer maps, and today it’s one free multiplayer map for Call of Duty 3. All three are available on Xbox Live Marketplace.
The COD3 multiplayer Bonus Map, which released today, is called “Champs” and takes place in Port Royal de Champs, France, where players will experience close-quarters combat.
Here’s the catch: the new COD3 map is available today for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, but it won’t be available for Xbox Live Silver “subscribers” until January 18. That’s not a big deal to this editor, but some folks are bound to be upset by it.
