Unbound Saga for Xbox 360 Available Now

December 1, 2010 by Sara Leave a Comment

Vogster Entertainment today announced that its comic book-themed brawler, Unbound Saga for the Xbox 360 is now available through Xbox LIVE Arcade for 800 Microsoft points.

Players can go it alone or team up for co-op carnage, as tough guy Rick Ajax and his alluring partner Lori Machete battle through panel after panel of classic brawler action. Together, they embark on an epic journey to find The Maker, the mysterious individual responsible for drawing them into one misadventure after another. After decades of torment, it’s time to settle the score.

“What better way to ring in the holiday season than by ringing someone else’s bell, and doing it all in HD?” says Mike Kennedy, lead writer and Senior Producer at Vogster Entertainment. “Once into the game, Xbox 360 fans can ‘meet their maker’ in only one way: successfully brawling across panels of crazy foes, evil bosses and over 120 environments, ultimately leading to a final showdown with this mysterious being who has plagued them for years.”

Unbound Saga pays satirical homage to traditional arcade-style beat-em-ups while delivering a new level of colorful narrative. Written and produced by veteran comic book writer Mike Kennedy (“Star Wars,” “Superman,” “Aliens vs. Predator”), the title melds in-game action and dialogue with comic book-styled, cut-scenes to lovingly poke fun at both video games and comic books. The plot was further developed in the original title from Dark Horse Comics with contributions from a number of fan-favorite comic book artists, including Leinil Yu (“Secret Invasion,” “New Avengers”), Cliff Richards (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Wonder Woman”), Steve Pugh (“Hardwired,” “Hellgate: London”), and Joe Linsner (“Cry for Dawn,” “Dark Ivory”).

The game also features interactive environments with real-time physics that allow players to smash and use anything in the room as a weapon. To customize their hero, players can collect Upgrade Tokens to improve their Heroes’ abilities with unique, unlockable Skills and Powers. The better the player, the more Tokens they earn, and the more cool moves that get unlocked.
