Destiny endured a few lumps after its launch, but Bungie’s bringing the FPS into its own and adding content and updates on a regular basis. The latest is the Destiny EV-30 Tumbler Sparrow vehicle, which is a free, exclusive vehicle for anyone who purchases and redeems the Destiny Expansion Pass or Destiny Expansion I: The Dark Below by January 15, 2015.
The timing is especially nice, since it will allow anyone who gets Destiny as a holiday gift to still get their hands on the Destiny EV-30 Tumbler Sparrow vehicle.
Gamers who have already purchased and redeemed the Destiny Expansion Pass will receive the EV-30 Tumbler Sparrow from the in-game Postmaster at the time of redemption.
Guardians who have already purchased or will purchase and redeem Destiny Expansion I: The Dark Below will receive the Destiny EV-30 Tumbler Sparrow vehicle from the in-game Postmaster starting next week, on December 9.
The Destiny EV-30 Tumbler Sparrow vehicle allows riders to drive fast, take flight and perform a set of mid-air tricks. The game includes a host of vehicles already, but the mid-air tricks should provide some nice entertainment for gamers who have grown accustomed to vehicles just being, erm, “vehicles” to get from one point to the other.
The Destiny Expansion The Dark Below is the first expansion to the universe since Destiny’s launch in September. (Read our Destiny review.) As an expansion, The Dark Below features the expected new weapons, new gear new story elements, new cooperative missions and new multiplayer activities.
The new weapons, armor and gear will include new Legendary and Exotic items, which is welcome news to hardcore Destiny fans looking for some variety with their armaments. The Dark Below will also add five additional Bounty slots and increase the Light Level cap to 32, also both big and arguably necessary updates.
