Respawn Entertainment has some good news for Xbox One owners who may be looking for a break from Destiny. The Xbox One’s first high-profile shooter, Titanfall, has just received its third add-on pack. The Titanfall IMC Rising DLC is now available for download via Xbox Live.
The Titanfall IMC Rising DLC introduces three new maps. The first new map is a hidden colony called Backwater, while the second new map is a covert robotics facility in Zone 18. Rounding out the new-content lineup is a secret fuel-extraction site called Sandtrap.
Unlike many other DLC packs for other games, the Titanfall IMC Rising DLC doesn’t try to expand the game’s universe or take place in an alternate time or setting. Instead, it falls right in line with the game’s near-future setting on a distant frontier.
Titanfall drops players in the middle of a conflict between the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and the Militia. The action is rapid and varied – featuring parkour-style wall running, massive double jumps and the ability to hijack titans. The freedom to shift back and forth between pilot and titan allows players to change tactics on the fly, attacking or escaping depending on the situation and extending the action vertically to new heights.
Tension between Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and the Militia is high and conflict erupts. Titans will drop amongst the chaos, and players must navigate challenging terrain in a variety of maps, while leveraging the Titans’ brute strength with pilots’ agility. With this new round of Titanfall DLC, you can do those same things in entirely new settings.
