Activision has done some nice things with the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise. Jamie N Commons Single “Karma” to be Battlefield Hardline Theme Song
Activision in 2013 looked to an Eminem single to be used in Call of Duty: Ghosts and throughout the game's marketing promotions. This year, the company's competitor, EA, has looked to an exclusive new Jamie N Commons single "Karma" to be the Battlefield Hardline theme song. Microsoft will neither confirm nor deny that the Halo 5 theme song will actually be the next single from Pharrell Williams. You do realize the Microsoft reference was a joke, yes? The other two are dead serious. EA's Visceral Games studio has … [Read more...]

Sony's PS Plus December 2014 free games roster includes at least two titles for each PlayStation platform. The Xbox Games with Gold December 2014 free games … [Read more...]

Skylanders Trap Team Review
My kids and I have adored the Skylanders franchise since it first launched, as have millions of other families. Swap Force was a wild hit in our house, so Skylanders Trap Team was atop the kids' must-play list. I purposefully held this Skylanders Trap Team review to give the kids ample time to play the game and provide their impressions too. After all, Skylanders Trap Team, like all of the games in the series, is fun for parents but will really take off or flop based on the kids' experience. As a parent, I look for a … [Read more...]

On this even of Halloween and with the last Games with Gold October days among us, Microsoft has shared the list of free games on the Xbox Games with Gold for November 2014 roster. The question now is whether Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners feel that the Xbox Games with Gold for November 2014 free games list is more of a trick or a treat. Microsoft has stuck with two traditions for Xbox One owners. First, following the popularity in October of the indie game Chariot, Xbox One owners will see another new indie game in … [Read more...]
Dying Light Canceled for Xbox 360 and PS3
Techland has announced that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Dying Light have been canceled, while the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions are still alive and well. Seeing Dying Light canceled for Xbox 360 and PS3 isn't surprising, though it will certainly be a tough pill to swallow for gamers who don't own a PS4 or Xbox One. The reason Dying Light was canceled for the current-gen systems seems to be largely technological. In an open letter to gamers, Techland seemed pretty apologetic, though the logic makes … [Read more...]
