Xavier: Renegade Angel is a six-foot-tall beaked/hoofed beast who meanders across the land delivering his home-brew justice to lonely teenagers, hot cavewomen, dirt farmers, evil cowboys and dads who just won’t listen. In other words, he’s a wacky creation of the Adult Swim network with severe mommy issues.
Although the concept sounds bizarre (and it is), Xavier: Renegade Angel has survived two seasons so far, so with 20 episodes under its belt it’s got some TV cachet. In fact, the show is among the top-10 programs for men 18-24 in late-night programming. Go figure. We’re as puzzled as you are.
