It’s hard to refute the popularity of High School Musical and Glee, which means it’s also hard to refute that companies are going to try to capitalize on that popularity by creating musical products and experiences that cater to the musical masses. Case in point: Dance on Broadway, a new game for Nintendo Wii that puts players center stage to perform some of the biggest Broadway hits from the comfort of their living room.
In Dance on Broadway, players can sing, dance and act to hit songs from their favorite musical performances, like “You Can’t Stop the Beat,” “Fame” and “Luck Be a Lady,” just to name a few. Wii owners can also challenge up to four friends for the starring role, letting them settle once and for all who really should’ve been added to the cast of Glee if Fox had come by their hometown.
All told, Dance on Broadway includes 20 authentic Broadway-style sets from the most beloved showtunes, including Cabaret, My Favorite Things, Dreamgirls and Roxie, among others. All the on-screen lyrics are there (hello, karaoke!) to deliver a full performance, and the only other tool needed is the Wii Remote. We figured you or your family would want to check it out for yourselves, so just in time for all those indoor fall activities, we’re giving away one brand-new retail copy of Dance on Broadway for the Wii.
