The Academy Awards have become an incredible production, with week-long prognostications about which film will get Best Picture, who will get Best Director and so on. But sometimes the most enjoyable films are also the most fringe, the ones
relegated to the “Short Film” category. Fortunately, Magnolia Home Entertainment has recognized this, as it’s preparing to release a complete DVD featuring nothing but the 2007 Academy Award Nominated Shorts. And we’ve partnered with Magnolia Home Entertainment to give each of five lucky readers one of these DVDs.

DVD synopsis: Included in the collection are 2007’s celebrated live-action and animated Oscar winners Le Mozart Des Pickpockets (The Mozart of Pickpockets) and Peter & the Wolf, as well as a diverse assortment of shorts from more than seven different countries. Le Mozart Des Pickpockets tells the tale of two professional thieves whose lives are changed when they take in a deaf homeless boy, while animated champion Peter & the Wolf is an eco-savvy adaptation of Prokofiev’s classic musical piece. Other included shorts include Il Supplente (The Substitute), Tanghi Argentini, At Night, The Tonto Woman, Meme Les Pigeons Vont Au Paradis (Even Pigeons Go To Heaven) and Madame Tutli-Putli.
