The Last Airbender was a visual gem in the theaters, and with M Night Shyamalan at the helm, you know the action/adventure movie itself is good too. Heck, it’s based on the Avatar: The Last Airbender cartoon, for crying out loud; how could it not be good? Needless to say, The Last Airbender’s recent release on DVD is a big deal, particularly with the holidays right around the corner. We know that. You know that. First, is a live event with select American Taekwondo Association (ATA) member schools across the country and lead actor Noah Ringer (Aang). Broadcasting live from Hollywood via Ustream, ATA students will watch a live video feed and interact with Noah as he answers questions and demonstrates some of his martial arts skills. Fans can watch clips of the event here. Second, a new app called “Become The Avatar” lets fans upload a personal photo and become the Avatar, which they can then print as a poster, share with friends or use to customize their Blu-ray or DVD cover. Doing so will also nab you a special $5 discount off the Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack, if you don’t happen to win one of the four killer DVD packs we’re giving away here.
