Angry Birds, the popular mobile game for iPhone and Android, is coming to the PS3 this week. Angry Birds will hit the PS3 via the PlayStation Minis group of downloadable PSN games. The PS3 version will include 63 total levels of Angry Birds mayhem.
An Xbox 360 version of Angry Birds will also presumably be available this week via Xbox Live, though no official word has been received in that regard.
In Angry Birds, nothing less than the survival of the Angry Birds race is at stake. Players toss birds toward evil pigs to avenge the pigs’ theft of the birds’ eggs. The birds hurtle head-first into the pigs’ fortified castles to take their revenge.
Angry Birds for PS3 features hours of gameplay, challenging physics-based castle demolition and a metric ton of replay value, as evidenced by the game’s popularity on the mobile platforms.
