There’s a new two-pack of pinball action hitting the PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo systems this week. Heck, Zen Studios is even unleashing the Zen Pinball Iron & Steel Pack on mobile devices, PC and Steam. In other words, there’s no excuse not to pickup the new Zen Pinball Iron & Steel Pack, because it’s a safe bet you have a device on which to play it.
Zen Pinball has a long history of getting new tables, but the Zen Pinball Iron & Steel Pack is notable because it’s technically the company’s first original table in three years.
For instance, Zen has released a slew of Star Wars-themed tables, a The Walking Dead pinball table, a South Park table and even a Spider-man Venom table. The Iron & Steel Pack, though? These are entirely original works.
This new pinball two-pack features a table based on Zen’s hit CastleStorm franchise — which you can still nab free as the Xbox Games with Gold February free game on Xbox One — and a Western-inspired table dubbed Wild West Rampage.
The Wild West genre and video games don’t always see eye to eye. Short of Red Dead Revolver, most gamers dismiss the genre entirely. Techland’s outstanding Call of Juarez games, particularly the first two, are arguably fringe titles and have only a few vocal fans.
With any luck, the Zen Pinball Iron & Steel Pack will change that a bit. Wild West and pinball seems like an odd combination, but it just might work. Check out the new trailer:
