A new iOS app released today comes straight from the B.S. category, but as long you recognize it as such and just have fun with it, you may want to check out Baby-on-Board. This app supposedly predicts your baby’s gender prior to birth using “interactive technologies and calculation techniques to provide the most accurate non-medical result of probable child’s gender.”
Yep, B.S. But fun.

The app’s functions are clear from the beginning. On the blue vs pink pattern you can see icons of mom and dad, so when tapping on them appears a pop-up with several selections. It helps to make user’s task much easier to integrate friend list from Facebook, Phone Book contacts, and enables to input mom’s or dad’s names and birthdays manually.
Whatever variant you choose takes you to the next step of setting up the Big Date, apparently you know what it means. So choose wisely! It may happen today on a date, tomorrow after a party or even in 2999, if someone lives that long. There is also a chance to check any date earlier, if everything has already happened and you just want to know the result.
Then the magic is happening! Not actual magic though, just deliberated calculations based on three different methods of baby’s gender prediction. When everything has been properly calculated and checked the result appears and unveils the mystery. The icon changes for a boy’s or a girl’s one according to the predicted gender. You will also see the probability of each possible outcome.
You finally know the truth and it is time you decide what’s next. It is now up to you either to keep it secret or to make it well known. The baby’s gender can easily be shared globally via Facebook and Instagram, or simply e-mailed to the closest friends of yours or soul-mates. Of course, if you don’t want to double-check or switch the partner.
