All you iPad and iPad 2 gamers out there, listen up: the platforms’ first free-to-play MMO (massively multiplayer online game) is on the way soon. Called Conquer Online, the iPad MMO will have no download fees, no subscription fee and no in-game Shopping Mall. It will also be the first free-to-play MMO available on four different platforms: iPad, Facebook, PC and Mac.
In Conquer Online, players aren’t stuck with tedious “grinding,” but will have immediate access to six unique martial-arts-themed classes such as the glorious Water Taoist and the fearless dual-wielding Trojan class. Originally launched in 2003, Conquer Online has received high accolades for being the first MMO to adopt a free-to-play model. Conquer Online has multiple versions in different languages in more than 100 regions worldwide.
The iPad version of Conquer Online will inherit multiple features from the PC version, so prepare to meet plenty of new friends, then create a new guild and set off to enjoy the heart of the adventure of Conquer Online.
No specific release date for the new iPad MMO was announced. The publisher, NetDragon, simply repeated “in the coming weeks.”
