Sydney, Australia – JMS Apps today is thrilled to announce that their first game, Kondrian, is now available exclusively for iPhone, iPod touches and iPads running iOS 5 and higher. Kondrian is a fast paced top-down action game where the aim is to defeat the dread trans-dimensional energy thief Lord Kondrian. The main differentiator between it and other games is that the player can create his own pre-planned moves, much as you might do in sports like football, hockey, but you use these moves in the middle of the action.
Mixing turn by turn and action:
The premise is that there are certain situations, where a practiced move can help you win. Practiced moves in many of our sports can aid success, but these preprogrammed actions don’t often appear in games, except in turn by turn games. Turn by turn games allow you to set up moves and think about more complex tactical moves. However turn by turn games, by their nature are never thought of as action games, the player takes his turn, and sits back to see what the response is. On the other hand action games don’t often offer the capability of pre-programmed moves. In Kondrian the player’s own moves can be triggered mid melee.
The player can find moves, but also create their own moves, in fact the player will have much more difficulty winning the game without programmed moves. Pre-programmed moves are designed to be much faster and more accurate than manual control, and while the move is underway, they give the player a much higher fire rate.

* It has real time challenges, and real time tactics must be employed,
* 50 challenging levels with 7 of those in Kondrian’s fortified nucleus
* 10 monster tribes, 10 assassin types
* Many weapons types
* Exploring the levels the player not only encounters many different aggressive inhabitants, but also linear accelerators, teleporting gates, flaming sentinels
So unlike many iOS games Kondrian is not a one tap game, its a game that allows you to have fine grained control of your little explorer ship. It is challenging because you have to build up a certain degree of manual skill in order to do swoops, dodges and attack runs. Using pre-programmed moves, ones you find, ones you create, and the weapons you come across, you fight your way deep down into Kondrian’s lair, past monsters, assassins, sentinels and fireballs, to eventually face Lord Kondrian himself.

Kondrian 1.0 is now available for $2.99 (USD) in the US and is priced accordingly in other regions. Kondrian is available world-wide from Apple’s App Store in the Games category for iDevices running iOS 5. It performs best on iPhone 4S and newer, iPod touch 5th generation and newer, and iPad 2 and newer.
