GameNUG today released Junk Race, a new live multiplayer racing game for iOS. Junk Race is an online real-time race in which players can play with friends or get matched with random players from around the world. In the same vein as the original Mario Kart, player-on-player weapons turn a normal race into something more exciting. Rich with playful competition, players can shoot missiles, throw dynamite, deflect attacks, and even launch a nuclear bomb to slow down their opponents.
Junk Race is free to download, and falls under the ‘racing’ category of games on the App Store. Players earn coins to upgrade their cars, wheels, and drivers. In each race 4 players are instantly matched up and racing within seconds. There is a large payout of coins for the winner and lower payouts for other finishers. Additional coins may be bought using real money through in-app-purchase. In addition to coins, players also accumulate trophies and increase their position in world ranking leader-boards.
