As Ted found out when he left grad school, making a living was going to be much harder than he had previously imagined. Whiling away his days on Internet chat rooms and social media deep dives, he came across tons of information for how to make a living day trading. But he never thought he could do it. He never imagined that he would have the chops.
Ted was a writer. Or, at least, that is what he saw himself as. Always. From early high school all the way through his admission to the creative writing program at a prestigious Midwestern university, he wanted to tell stories. But the grad program was much tougher than he had ever anticipated.

Ted gave himself 6 months. He eased into the Warrior Trading curriculum and began to learn strategies like gap & go, momentum trading, bull flag and breakout. From there, he used is ability to focus that he had honed with long hours pecking out short stories to learn the rules of day trading and figure out how to calculate risk management. One of the maxims that the Warriors like to cite is this: If you learn a proven trading strategy and learn the rules, you can learn how to make a living day trading.
Ted put in the time. Like we said before, Ted did not consider himself a math person, but he was willing to dedicate himself to studying and learning how to read complex spreadsheets and charts. After 6 months, Ted was able to execute 3-5 trades per day in the trading simulator that netted $200 per day in profit.
Ted was able to go off on his own, spend time each morning executing trades and made enough money to sustain his grad school lifestyle and allow plenty of time to work on his writing.
