With the Sons of Anarchy season premiere nearly upon us, Twentieth Century Fox has taken a Sons of Anarchy Collectors Set Blu-ray and DVD package out of the garage. The set, which will release Nov. 11, will include Seasons 1-6 and come packaged in a re-creation of the iconic SAMCRO Reaper clubhouse table.
The Sons of Anarchy Collectors Set Blu-ray and DVD packages are not currently on Amazon for pre-order, though it’s likely to open up there and at other retailers soon.
The Sons of Anarchy season premiere is Sept. 9 on FX. Not coincidentally, the new Sons of Anarchy Collectors Set Blu-ray and DVD packages both include an empty slot for the final season, Season 7. According to Fox, the final season of Sons of Anarchy will release on both Blu-ray and DVD “in early 2015.”
For the uninitiated, Sons of Anarchy explores a notorious outlaw motorcycle club’s desire to protect its livelihood while maintaining the quaintness of its sheltered town. The motorcycle club must confront threats from drug dealers, corporate developers and overzealous law officers.
The first two make sense, but the law officers? That’s because the motorcycle club familial lifestyle and automotive shop is backed by an illegal arms business.
In Sons of Anarchy Season Six, Jackson ‘Jax’ Teller has finally solidified his leadership of Sons of Anarchy by murdering Clay Morrow, his stepfather, for past sins. Season Six ended with his mother, Gemma, committing an unpardonable sin. Unbeknownst to Jax, she brutally murders his wife, Dr. Tara Knowles, thinking she’s protecting the club. Juice Ortiz then kills Sheriff Eli Roosevelt to protect Gemma.
Sons of Anarchy Season Seven begins 10 days later, with Jax in jail on a parole violation and grappling with the loss of the woman he loved. With the club’s full support, he sets in motion the brutal machinations that will lead to complete and merciless retribution.
