When you have a handheld system as popular as the Nintendo DS, you’re bound to find some obscure, niche titles. Case in point: Atari’s My Horse and Me, which trotted into retail stores today for the DS. My Horse and Me also shipped for Nintendo Wii, with a PC version on the way soon.
My Horse and Me covers all aspects of equestrian life, from sports and leisure riding to horse care. The game features the most accurate horse models and animations yet realized in a video game (well, as accurate as you can get on a non-HD display, of course), and the horse riding and stable activities take place in multiple indoor and outdoor environments.
My Horse and Me has a variety of gameplay modes and options, including Championship Mode, which lets players take part in competitions at indoor and outdoor locations around the globe. These locales range from rustic stables and classical riding schools to world-class tournament locations.
The DS, Wii and PC game also includes a series of mini-games that offer a variety of experiences, as well as horse care “gameplay” and extensive customization options.
