TrackMania, the international star of casual PC racing games, will make its debut on the Nintendo DS later this year. And like the PC version, the DS version of TrackMania will include a track editor.
Far from a hardcore driving simulation, TrackMania is more focused on the casual and fun aspects of racing. You know, the speed and crazy tracks. With TrackMania DS, players will drive at mind-blowing speeds on tracks made of jumps, loops, turbo boost pads and other crazy design elements.
The TrackMania DS track editor, like its PC counterpart, will let players create their own unique tracks from hundreds of different design blocks. And by “blocks,” we mean elements such as track, loops, boosts and jumps.
TrackMania DS has been in development for several months by Firebrand, the developer of Race Driver: Create & Race, also for the Nintendo DS.
And yes, TrackMania DS will include multiplayer. Did you even have to ask?
