Rockstar Games today announced that the next chapter in the Midnight Club racing franchise, Midnight Club Los Angeles, will release for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) and Xbox 360 on October 7.
A PSP version of the game, called Midnight Club Los Angeles Remix, will release on the same day.
In Midnight Club Los Angeles, Rockstar has followed in the successful footsteps of EA and Criterion with an open-world game much like Burnout Paradise. With Midnight Club Los Angeles, though, Rockstar San Diego has focused on a single real-world town rather than a fictitious one.
Rockstar’s version of LA lets players race at breakneck speeds and explore at their own pace, with no official tracks and no load times.
