With the shooter Haze getting mixed PS3 reviews, maybe you’re looking for a new shooter experience. Activision certainly hopes you are, as the company today shipped id Software’s Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game originally shipped for Windows PC in late 2007.
Set in the year 2065, Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars is a team-based shooter that pits the armies of Earth’s Global Defense Force (GDF) against the invading alien Strogg. The game’s team- and mission-based multiplayer warfare offers distinct classes, vehicles and weapons so players can set the strategy that best fits their playing style.
Rather than just blast away as in a traditional QUAKE game, players in Enemy Territory must work as a team to achieve objectives either online against other players or offline with against AI-controlled opponents. Across the game’s multi-mission campaigns, players can earn experience and promotions while stats are recorded globally online.
Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars will ship for PS3 and Xbox 360 arrive in Europe and Australia on May 30.
