The last James Bond movie, Casino Royale, was a fantastic change of pace for Bond and drove anticipation for the next Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. Quantum of Solace also has a video game coming out Nov. 4, equipping players with the weapons, espionage and hand-to-hand combat skills of 007. But what about his musical style?
Well, leave that to Activision, which today announced that “Another Way to Die,” the new Quantum of Solace movie theme song by Jack White and Alicia Keys, is going to be a downloadable song in Guitar Hero World Tour. The track will be available on Nov. 7 on both the Xbox Live Marketplace (160 Microsoft Points) and PlayStation Store ($1.99).
As for the Quantum of Solace video game, it is a first-person shooter with a new third-person cover combat system, much like Rainbow Six Vegas. The FPS roots are enabled by the game’s creation using the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare game engine. Playing as James Bond, gamers must identify the best course of action in each level, whether that means incapacitating enemies through covert operations or using guns-blazing confrontations. The game’s multiplayer mode includes maps based on authentic locations from the “Quantum of Solace” and “Casino Royale” films.
