Rainbow Six Vegas 2 shipped today for the PS3 and Xbox 360, the second chapter in Ubisoft’s outstanding Rainbow Six Vegas series.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is the last chance for gamers to rescue Sin City from an escalating terrorist siege, and this time, winner takes all. Aside from the single-player campaign, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 also includes more multiplayer options on both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network.
The multiplayer mode in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas has been upgraded for this sequel to include 13 new maps with more intense face-offs, two new adversarial modes, more rewards and easier access to matches using the improved matchmaking system.
In addition, players can create their own identity that persists through both the single-player and multiplayer modes and progresses online and offline. As a result, players can reap the benefits of their single-player rewards in multiplayer, and vice versa. And yes, there are new weapons and armor to earn and equip.
Ubisoft has also improved the Co-op Mode, letting players turn the single-player mode into co-op mode at any time seamlessly with “join in progress” options. Now a friend can jump into your story campaign and assist without any change to the story. In fact, Ubisoft says tthe single-player maps and storyline were created with co-op in mind, with every map having multiple entry points.
