THQ has taken the wraps off a Collector’s Edition for Red Faction: Guerilla, a limited-edition that will ship for both PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in “early 2009.”
The Red Faction: Guerrilla Collector’s Edition will take a page from Take-Two’s playbook with BioShock by including a copy of the Red Faction game as well as a five-inch-tall mining walker figurine. Take-Two’s BioShock, as you may recall, shipped with a Big Daddy figurine. It will also include a bonus DVD (on Xbox 360) or a bonus Blu-Ray Disc (on PS3), as well as an official art book.
The Red Faction: Guerrilla mining figurine will be made by Gentle Giant. The poly-resin figurines will be hand-painted and feature real pewter hand railings.
The Red Faction: Guerrilla Collector’s Edition will retail for $89.99. It can only be pre-ordered through GameStop, either online or in a retail store.
