A Red Faction: Guerrilla demo has appeared on both the PS3 and Xbox 360, with the single-player demo now being available for free download on Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network. Following in the footsteps of its predecessors, Red Faction: Guerrilla is a shooter with real physics-based destruction that lets your gun-happy imagination run wild.
The full retail game is scheduled to release on June 2.
The Red Faction: Guerrilla single-player demo puts players in the role of freedom fighter Alec Mason as he battles the oppressive Earth Defense Force for control of Mars. The demo’s single mission uses the new GeoMod 2.0 Destruction Engine, which uses real-world physics to simulate building formation and destruction.
Set on Mars 50 years after the original Red Faction, the new game will let players carve their own path and wreak havoc across the open-world environment of Mars, from the desolate mining outpost of Parker to the gleaming EDF capital city of Eos. Red Faction: Guerrilla will also feature a robust multiplayer component, including several modes focused on destruction-based gameplay.
In our previous times with the game, we’ve always wanted to play more, so do yourself a favor and check out the demo. Chances are, you will not be disappointed.
