Ubisoft today released a new video trailer for Rocksmith 2014 Edition, the latest game in the franchise that Research Strategy Group Inc. says is the fastest way to learn guitar. The trailer, called Rocksmith 2014 — Guitarcade and Score Attack, shows off the new updated Guitarcade mini-games that make practice actually fun, as well as the all-new difficulty level locked Score Attack. Of course, you’ll also hear some of the Rocksmith 2014 songs in the new trailer, which will naturally be a big draw.
All told, the upcoming game will feature more than 50 new tracks, not all of which have been publicly revealed yet. However, we do know more than half of the Rocksmith 2014 songs list, which we’ve pasted below for your perusal. Rocksmith 2014 ships Oct. 22 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
Rocksmith 2014 Edition has a completely redesigned interface, new songs and all-new features this time around. A new fully customizable “Riff Repeater” lets players select any section of a song they want to play, then repeat that section over and over until they feel like they’ve got it mastered. Players can also set the starting difficulty level, speed or play note by note through challenging parts, all on the fly.
A new Rocksmith 2014 “Master Mode” makes playing by memory more approachable, and Ubioft has added new Guitarcade mini-games to hone specific guitar skills. With these flexible practice tools, it’s even easier for players to play their favorite songs on a real guitar or bass, not some plastic jobbie that is useless outside of the game.
Now, on to the Rocksmith 2014 songs we know about, and some of which you can hear in the new video trailer below. More songs from the full Rocksmith 2014 track list are bound to be revealed in the weeks ahead.
