Many video games were released in 2017 and Total War: WARHAMMER II is one of them.
Total War: WARHAMMER II was released on 28 September, 2017 for Microsoft Windows-based PCs in short it is one of the PC games. This game is sequel of Total War: WARHAMMER and evidently part of Total War series. Creative Assembly is the developers of the game whereas it is published by Sega.Ian Roxburgh is the director of the game.
The game is a strategic video game. This game can be played in two modes: single player and multi-player mode.
Gameplay:
Total War: WARHAMMER II is set in Warhammer fantasy which is a fictional universe. The game has four continents- Ulthuan,Naggaroth, The Southlands and Lustria. The game will revolve around the control of great vortex which is located in Ulthuan. The vortex campaign features a narrative story-line. This story-line helps in either stabilizing or controlling the great vortex.
As said earlier total War: WARHAMMERII is a strategy and a real time tactics game play like the earlier total war series. In the game different races are announced like high elves, dark elves, lizardmen, skaven. If anyone own races from the earlier games will have the same races unlocked for multiplayers in the second.
The campaign in the game will be more narrative oriented than the sandbox campaign from the first game with each race battling to save or destroy the great vortex located in Ulthuan.
Plot of the game:
Mysterious space fairing being known as old ones visits Warhammer World. They reshaped this world to fulfill their needs and eventually created several species with the intention to combat the forces of chaos. Their first creation was Lizardmen. They assisted their masters in the development of plans. However, the gates also known as stellar gates which the old ones used to enter the world collapsed and satanic legions of chaos flooded the world. As the old ones vanished, the lizard men were left to resist of the satanic tide.
The home of elves which is on the island continent of Ulthuan, was rampaged by the Daemons of Chaos. The heroes were emerged from the chaos; one was Aenarion the Defender (first of the phoenix Kings) and CaledorDragontamer. Aenarion helped in raising the army for the combats and Calebo helped in devising the plan to vanquish the chaos army.Aenarion would use ancient way-stones around the Ulthuan to decrease the energy of chaos.
Caledo with the secret help of the Slaan created the Great Vortex. They combined the winds of magic and draining chaos from the world. Though the plan was partially successful, the energy of chaos got drained but at the same time it continued to spill from the realm of chaos. Caledo and mages were doomed to a fate worse than death, as they got trapped in the vortex. Still they continued chanting spells to keep the vortex stabilized or else the world would have doomed.
While in the present day, a twin-tailed comet passes the world which disrupts the stability of the Great Vortex. The weakness of the comet is sensed by the four factions: the Lizardmen, the High Elves, the Skaven and the Dark Elves. The Lizardmen seek to stabilize the Vortex with High Elves, while the Dark Elves and Skaven seek to control the power of vortex for themselves.
Dark Elf Campaign
After the great fight against Chaos and after the Aenarion’s death, the princes of Ulthuan gathered to decide successor of Aenarion.Malekith, was passed over in favor ofBelshaanar. In order to take revenge, Malekith poisoned Belshaanar and entered Flames of Asuryan to prove his worth. But Flames of Asuryan rejected him and immolated his body; afterwards he was reborn as Witch-king.

Release of the game:
Total War: WARHAMMER II’s announcement was done by the developer in March 2017 at EGX REZZED. This is the second installment of Total War: WARHAMMER series. This PC based game was official released on 20th September, 2017. Shortly after the launch of the game, free update for players who own both the games was planned by creative assembly.
