Guitar Hero World Tour isn’t just about rock ‘n roll, as Activision has displayed with its past few downloadable content packs. Nope, it’s also for country music fans (as is SingStar, which released its own country disc) and pop and…you get the point. Well, the next batch of Guitar Hero World Tour DLC is coming soon, and it’s going to span multiple genres.
Hard rock bands Hinder, Nickelback and Rev Theory making their songs available on Dec. 23. Hinder’s first single “Use Me,” from their recently released album Take It to the Limit, will be joined by Nickelback’s “Because of You” and Rev Theory’s “Light it Up.”
The Guitar Hero World Tour Country Rock Track Pack will also make its debut soon featuring Rascal Flatts’ “Me and My Gang,” Brad Paisley’s “Ticks” and Brooks & Dunn’s “Hillbilly Deluxe.” Country music fans can rock out starting on Jan. 8.
Drummer Travis Barker, whose likeness appears in Guitar Hero World Tour, is returning to the Guitar Hero stage Jan. 15 with a three-song Track Pack. Two of the tracks, “What’s My Age Again” and “Lycanthrope,” are from his work as part of blink-182 and +44, respectively. Completing the Track Pack is his solo-project remixing Flo Rida’s smash-hit “Low.”
On Jan. 22, three of the biggest Australian bands of all-time will appear on Guitar Hero World Tour too. Silverchair’s 1995 hit “Tomorrow” will debut alongside Wolfmother’s “Dimension” and The Vines’ “Outtathaway!”
Not to be outdone, the UK will also be representing as Oasis on Jan. 29 uploads “The Turning,” “I’m Outta Time,” “(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady,” “Falling Down,” “To Be Where There’s Life,” “Ain’t Got Nothin,” “The Nature of Reality” and “Soldier On” as DLC.
The Oasis Album will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace for for 1520 Microsoft Points and on the PS3’s PlayStation Store for $18.99. The Track Packs will be released for Xbox 360 for 440 Microsoft Points and PS3 system for $5.49. The songs on the Oasis Album and in each Track Pack will be released as downloadable singles for Xbox 360 for 160 Microsoft Points, for PS3 for $1.99, and for the Wii for 200 Wii Points.
