If you’ve been paying any attention to the retail situation this year, you know the Nintendo Wii is impossible to find. Unless you hit eBay, of course, at which point you’re guaranteed to pay a premium to an enterprising/capitalistic/opportunistic/nefarious guy who bought 12 Wiis with the expressed purpose of turning a profit on each and every one. In light of this Wii shortage, kids around the world are left to ask good ol’ Saint Nick for a Wii, because mom and dad aren’t likely to deliver. But what happens if Santa Claus is hogging that Wii to himself?
We’ve come across some funny YouTube footage that implies Santa’s doing just that. Worse yet, he doesn’t look all that upset about his decision. Not only is Santa playing WiiSports in his spare time, he’s even rocking out to Guitar Hero 3, another prized commodity this year. Seriously, what’s the world coming to when even Saint Nick himself is clinging to his Wii?
So, boys and girls, if you’re reading this entry hoping for some insight into what it takes to make Santa’s nice list, apparently all the niceties in the world aren’t going to help you out. Santa looks like he’s too busy playing Wii and Guitar Hero 3 to accept your letters, much less deliver on a Wii when your mom and dad can’t. At least he recognizes just what a hot commodity those puppies are this year….
