Following in the footsteps of the long-since-passed Halo 3 multiplayer beta, Battlefield: Bad Company is getting an Xbox 360 multiplayer beta this spring, Electronic Arts announced today.
Inexplicably, though, the codes for the Xbox 360 multiplayer beta will be available through a PC gaming service.
IGN Founders’ Club and IGN Insider will offer Battlefield: Bad Company multiplayer beta keys to members and to the North American and UK starting on March 25. The codes will be provided by the PC game-download site FilePlanet.
In North America, GameStop will also be offering keys on a first come, first served basis for the Xbox Live beta. With only 5,000 beta keys available at GameStop, gamers will need to pre-order their copy at GameStop to get the code.
The Battlefield: Bad Company multiplayer beta test will give players a chance to return to the battlefield to embark on a mission to capture the spoils of war (read: to get some cash). Gamers will battle through two different maps, access new infantry kits and vehicles as well as experience the unique tactical destruction in Battlefield: Bad Company.
