Codemasters today began shipping its off-road racing game GRID for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. GRID is the latest chapter in the storied Colin McRae rally series.
Although it’s steeped in the rally genre, GRID introduces a host of new racing experiences as it takes players on a world tour through Europe, the United States and Japan. For the first time, GRID incorporates rally racing, circuit challenges, drifting events, road races and urban street competitions.
Codemasters has also assured us that GRID features the most destructible courses ever included in one of the company’s racing games, clearly a move to keep up with the Sega Rally Revo’s and Motorstorm’s of the world.
