With Comic-Con now in full swing, Electronic Arts and game-developer DICE have taken the wraps off a new comic book series they’ve developed with DC Comics. The new series will act as a prequel for EA’s “Mirror’s Edge” PS3 and Xbox 360 game.
The limited-edition Mirror’s Edge comic book is getting its first distribution this week at Comic-Con International, in San Diego. The Mirror’s Edge game is also on display at the show.
The new comic is written by Rhianna Pratchett and illustrated by Matthew Dow Smith. Pratchett is also responsible for crafting the game’s script. The six-part comic series will introduce readers to Faith and her fellow “Runners,” the couriers who use acrobatic moves to avoid being detected as they traffic packages across rooftops.
Mirror’s Edge, a first-person action game, will ship this winter for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
