Fallout 3 is now available for pre-purchase via Steam, Valve announced today. Fallout 3 itself won’t release for PC (or PS3 or Xbox 360) until Oct. 28, but if you want to assure that you’ll get it on launch day, Valve’s opened up the pre-purchase gates.
Fallout 3, which we awarded our E3 2008 Game of Show award, is set more than 200 years following a nuclear war and lets gamers explore the open wastes of Washington, D.C however they choose. Consider it a post-apocalyptic Oblivion, if you will.
Rather than trolls and bears, though, Fallout 3 features Super Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders and other dangers of the Wasteland.
If you own a PS3 or Xbox 360, you can pre-order those versions of the game by going to the following links to Amazon.com: Fallout 3 for PS3, or Fallout 3 for Xbox 360.
