Midway today shipped Stranglehold for the PC to retail outlets in North America. The game shipped several weeks ago for Xbox 360, and the PlayStation 3 version will ship on Oct. 29.
Stranglehold puts players in the shoes of John Woo’s Hard Boiled character Inspector Tequila, played in the movie and the game by Chow Yun-Fat. Ensnared by a crime boss with a gripping secret, Inspector Tequila is forced to cross the line from sworn duty to renegade cop — and players get to direct the action.
The game’s intense cinematic gun battles can cause massive environmental damage in real-time or in slow-motion Tequila Time.
