Xbox 360 owners will have a chance to play an upgraded version of the arcade classic Battlezone this week, as well as an Xbox Live Arcade-ified version of the original. Both games will hit the online service in a single package, as will an exclusive Rocky and Bullwinkle game.
Battlezone will release on Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday for 400 Microsoft Points. The all-in-one download will include the original arcade vector-art version, as well as an upgraded version that include multiplayer modes for up to two players both locally and over Xbox Live. The Battlezone multiplayer modes will include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. Players can also use the Xbox Live Vision Camera.
These features will be complemented by new special effects for weapon firing, impacts and explosions. To score points in Battlezone, players must shoot and destroy the enemy’s brigade including a standard enemy tank, supertank and a flying saucer.
Also coming to Xbox Live Arcade this week (for 800 Microsoft Points) is Rocky and Bullwinkle, an exclusive party game based on the 1960s cartoon series of the same name. Rocky and Bullwinkle includes more than 100 micro games and eight playable characters including Rocky, Bullwinkle, Boris, Natasha and Dudley Do-Right. Rocky and Bullwinkle features five difficulty settings and support for up to 12 players in local “hot-seat” mode. The Xbox Live Vision Camera can also be used in 25 of the micro games to let players express gestures such as rowing a boat or throwing darts to can control the in-game action.
