Splatterhouse is a slasher in the truest sense of the word, hearkening back to the original games from the 1980s and 90s in which the masked protagonist has to rescue his girlfriend from an evil doctor. No cliches there at all. This newest entry in the series has recently released for Xbox Live Arcade and PSN, and already the developers are keeping it fresh with new downloadable content (DLC).
We just happen to have three of these DLC codes available for Xbox 360 (sorry, no PSN codes available), and we’d like to give them away. Because we care. Unlike many of our free contests, though, this one is a Twitter-exclusive contest, so you’ll have to follow @dailygame on Twitter in order to enter. We’ll randomly choose a winner for each DLC code on Dec. 31 (New Year’s Eve) at 9pm PST, giving you a few hours to get the code and slash some baddies until the ball drops in Times Square. All you have to do is follow us and you can consider yourself entered in the giveaway.
So, here’s what the Splatterhouse Xbox 360 DLC codes will get you if you win. One DLC code will open the new “House of Mirrors” survival arena, which features the new Rapid Fire Shotgun. Another will unlock the new “Heart of the Mansion” survival arena that features Biggyman’s Chainsaw weapon. And the third DLC code we’re offering up will let you re-live the 16-bit glory days of the Splatterhouse franchise by unlocking all three classic games from the original trilogy.
