The discounts are similar to those shown on the Walmart Black Friday ad, which indicated a slew of publisher- and game-specific discounts. For that matter, since both Walmart and Best Buy are doing Black Friday price match guarantees, shoppers could likely just take the Black Friday ad circular from either store, present it at the other, and get the same sale price in a retail location that’s more convenient for them.
Regardless of the work-the-system strategy that works best for individuals, some of Best Buy’s best Black Friday game discounts are actually of the bundle variety. For instance, Best Buy’s ad circular shows consumers can save $110 on an Xbox 360 250GB Black Friday Bundle that includes the Xbox 360 console, a wireless controller, a headset, Halo 4 and Darksiders II disc-based games, and downloads for both Tomb Raider and Batman: Arkham City. Order it online, and Best Buy will even toss in free shipping.
The Best Buy Black Friday ad also shows a nice discounted bundle for the PlayStation 3. If you’re more in the mood for a Nintendo Wii U, you’ll be in luck: that’s the only next-gen console with a Black Friday discount at Best Buy. It may not be a big discount, but the circular shows that shoppers can save $50 on a Wii U Console Deluxe Set with an extra Wii Remote and games. All told, Best Buy’s Black Friday Wii U bundle includes a Wii U 32GB console deluxe set, a Mario- or Luigi-themed Wii remote, and three games of shoppers’ choosing. As with the Xbox 360 bundle, if the order’s placed online it’ll include free shipping.
As mentioned above, the Best Buy ad circular doesn’t mention any Xbox One or PS4 Black Friday price discounts. However, some PS4 and Xbox One games can be found on sale while supplies last. The first is Call of Duty: Ghosts, which Best Buy has on sale for Black Friday for just $44.99. Best Buy’s also offering a Skylanders Swap Force Black Friday deal that’s related to the PS4 and Xbox One but not specific to those platforms.
