Microsoft an Electronic Arts are going all-in with their strategic partnerships, as a Madden NFL 15 Xbox One bundle will go on sale next week. The bundle will hit just as the NFL enters its fourth and final week of the preseason and as the Madden NFL 15 video game hits retail.
The Madden NFL 15 Xbox One bundle will cost $399, the same retail price as the Kinect-free Xbox One. In essence, then, it includes a free copy of Madden NFL 15. “Free” and “football” are two words that go very well together, especially when you’re talking Madden.
You can pre-order the bundle from Amazon. Local retailers and Microsoft Stores are also expected to carry it.
The bundle doesn’t include a special console or controller skin, though it does have a few extra items to make it worth your while.
All told the bundle includes a download code for Madden NFL 15 on Xbox One, a standard Xbox One console (no Kinect, and no special paint job), a standard Xbox One wireless controller, a standard Xbox One chat headset, a special edition Madden NFL 15-themed box (if that matters to you, and you don’t just recycle it),and a token for three Madden NFL Ultimate Team Pro Packs.
If you’re a football fan who’s been holding out to make the move to a next-gen console, this could be the time to get into the game, so to speak, on Xbox One. The Madden NFL 15 Xbox One bundle goes on sale Aug. 26.
