Sunset Overdrive is destined to be one of Insomniac’s most colorful, over-the-top and creative games yet. The Xbox One exclusive will ship Oct. 28, and when it does, there will also be a Sunset Overdrive Season Pass for dedicated gamers to get DLC at a discount.
The Sunset Overdrive Season Pass is pretty beefy, all things considered. In addition to the expected new weapons and clothing, the Pass will also include new bosses, new areas and all-new story elements to tackle.
All of that Sunset Overdrive DLC will cost $19.99 for Sunset Overdrive Season Pass holders, a 20% discount compared to buying the items individually.
So what’s included in the Sunset Overdrive Season Pass? Glad you asked. All told the DLC add-ons include eight new weapons, four traps to deploy in Chaos Squad, four new Amps and 10 new outfits. Now for the details.
The Sunset Overdrive Season Pass includes the first three Game Add-ons for the game, plus six additional character outfits, two Amps and two Traps available exclusively to Season Pass purchasers.
Those two Traps, two Amps and six character outfits will be available as soon as the Sunset Overdrive release date rolls around on Oct. 28.
Specific details of the three DLC packs have not yet been announced, though Microsoft did parse out some information. Two of the Campaign add-ons will deliver new locations to explore, each with new stories to experience and new bosses to battle.
The third add-on isn’t designed to extend the Sunset Overdrive campaign, though it will include items that can be used within the Campaign.
Called the Weapons Pack DLC, the add-on will include four new weapons. Insomniac has always been known for creating over-the-top weapons, so it’s not surprising to see a DLC pack focused exclusively on weapons.
With that said, each of the Campaign DLC packs will also include new weapons, as well as new Amps, a new Trap and new character outfits. Microsoft said the Campaign DLC will also include new challenges and Chaos Squad objectives.
